A native planting design sensitive to the experience of landscape
Fall 2021
To improve upon the existing planting beds in front of the Samuel T. Dana Building, this plan proposes the introduction of four core concepts: Native Plants, Companion Plants, Visual Legibility, and Year-round Color. Through doing so, the landscape may better represent the academic program's commitment to SEAS' and PiTE's commitment to native flora while at the same time welcome lesser-informed users from outside the community to engage with our state's botanical heritage through welcoming spaces.
